Things have once again been crazy busy as usual, but I’m not quite as stressed as before because my master copy is finally done and stuff, so now I won’t be pressed for time quite as much. For illustration this week we have to illustrate something from a short story and I’m gonna do Virginia Woolf’s “The Mark on The Wall,” and I think I’m going to make it a really expressive and rather abstract piece, because the story is dealing with stream of consciousness and memory… So I am excited about it because I absolutely love the story…

Enough about work. Soo anyway, things have been pretty “lame” as of late and I can’t seem to desist my thinking about the whole 19 and still single thing- while at the same time i have no plans on changing that status, at least no active and realistic plans. I just get a little freaked out about how naive I am and how I am only getting older…Plus the fact that everyone I know either has a boy or very much wants one. So here I am left not really caring but thoroughly consumed by annoying thoughts- But that’s all I’ll say. I am done.

And Erica just got us Jason Mraz tickets for May 22, which I am super excited about because doing anything with Erica is a guarenteed awesome time full of non stop giggling!!! YAY!!!!!

Same old crap

Ok, yeah, so who was in the studio on a Friday night until 3 in the morning? That would be me (and Michelle). But seriously how wrong is that? We should not be forced to work on Friday nights just to be able to complete our shitload of work on time. I have fucking had it with this whole art school shit. Damnit. This year has gone by so fast up til now and now it has decided to drag for the last five weeks. AHHHH I am so frustrated. At least I basically finished my drawing homework last night. Now I am taking advantage of the absolutely gorgeous weather and will be painting my master copy outside for the rest of the day. Since I woke up at 12:30 I had better go get started now. So I am extremely frustrated but I’m trying to make the best, enjoy the weather, and maybe then if I spend all day outside I will feel like I had some fun this weekend. Fun. Ha. I laugh.

Happy Easter?

Welllllllllll…….I have been extremely busy as of late. This past week I was working on these pastel drawings for illustration which took up all my spare time. Even though I worked during spring break I can’t seem to catch up with the work load….grrrrr….I have tons to do for painting which I have to go do, and then I have to study for my quiz in photo on tuesday. Today is Easter and yet I am working my butt off, we aren’t having an Easter dinner until tomorrow, and I have my Grandpa’s funeral to go to tomorrow. Luckily the stuff after the service will be at my house so I can get some work done in between that and our family Easter dinner. AHHHH I’m a little stressed out right now but remarkably I want to do my work, like I like all my projects and everything I just have no time to relax, and it doesn’t look like its going to get any better…BUT HEY, there’s only like six weeks left til summer break. I can do it I can do it.

ON A MUCH HAPPIER NOTE, Friday night Erica came to visit me at RISD and that was sooo much fun! I had a blast. We went to Johnny Rockets with Michelle and Lily which means laughter ensued especially when the servers all danced and sang to RESPECT….lol Then Erica and I watch Coupling and then other Lily, Melissa and Elyse came to vist which was great because I haven’t seen them in soooo long its ridiculous. I had a great time hanging out with Erica and I made her promise to visit again in late May, which I look forward to!!!!! YAY! But now it’s back to work, again. Forvever. And oh, right- Happy Easter.

Not Enough Time

Well, I haven’t blooged in a few days because things have been sooo crazy I haven’t had time to pee!! But anyways, I am now back at school, spring break is over, and I am busy as hell. On a more serious note, on Saturday morning my Grandfather (my mom’s dad) passed away. He had been staying at a convalescent home and I guess he just stopped breathing…he had a do not recussitate order so needless to say I have a funeral to go to. It’s on Monday after Easter so yay, how fun. And did I mention that this time last Easter my wonderful Aunt Kathy died. And in 1991 my mom’s cousin died of Aids on Easter Day. Apparently my mom’s side of the family has an affinity for Easter. I just feel bad for my mom. Two deaths not even a year apart. I miss my aunt. I never really had any sort of relationship with my Grandpa though. And my mom’s super stressed out and didn’t need this right now and I just hope my moobs doesn’t have a break down. I love ya mom.

Anyways, I have lots of illustration to do before I can watch the Uconn game which I am super excited about! DUAL CHAMPIONSHIPS I HOPE! Or, at least the men won, right?

AND I can’t wait for ERICA to visit me at RISD on FRIDAY night!!!!!!! YAY YAY YAY!!!!!

Eternal Sunshine

Wow. I just saw Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind with Amber and Rachael P. OMG it was soooooooooo good. I had been looking forward to it for such a long time and I was not dissappointed. I love Kate Winslet and I really liked Jim Carrey even though I’m not his biggest fan. Elijah Wood was in it too which was cool, although I must admit I like him better with hobbit feet…Anyway I recommend this film to anyone who wants to see a movie actually worth paying for- as well as an intellectually stimulating film with both brains and heart. Charlie Kaufman boggles my mind. AHHHHHH! A film with creativity, imagination and ingenuity! What more could you want. Accept perhaps, for someone to explain to me how in the hell they made that film. Damn it keeps me thinking.

“How happy is the blameless Vestal’s lot! / The world forgetting, by the world forgot / Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind! / Each pray’r accepted, and each wish resign’d. ”

– Alexander Pope

And now I am off to go draw.

Been busy as a bee…

Ok, so I totally ran out of time to blog last night but yesterday I was pretty hectic to say the least. So since Amber ruined her car on the ice a few weeks ago she’s been using my mother’s car and my mom’s been borowing my g-ma’s van…which means I have no vehicle to use on my week off, which means I need to be chauferred around everywhere I need to go. But anyway I made plans to go see Mrs. Simon at the high school at 12:30 so my mom had to drop me off. I talked with Mrs. Simon for like an hour and a half and then I had to go find Brittany in the music wing. AND OF COURSE I am there the VERY day that the pies from the Roundtable fundraiser get delivered. Brittany sold the most pies (45) and she had to sort them all out and stuff which took forever all while I waited around. But Britt had chemistry stuff to make up so I got stuck carrying all the pies out of the chorus room and into the hallway while I waited for my mother to come pick them up. Then when she got there I hadda carry them with her to the van and when we got home I got stuck carrying them all into the house. Needless to say I was slightly frustrated with pies yesterday. lol. Other than that I finally got the chance to start painting my master copy of New York Movie, and I finished the underpainting today which is all I’ve done today. So yeah, my day today has been filled with oil paint, taco bell, and pie.

One more thing about yesterday- when I was at the high school yesterday I spotted the display case near the front office where they put the book I illustrated…they also had the actual illustrations surrounding it I think but I felt WAY TOO AWKWARD to actually go look at it because there were people around but I just found it hysterical that the book is in a display case, i mean, come on…LOL.

I think that’ s about it. I’m really glad I got to see Mrs. Simon yesterday- we had a really nice talk and I showed her some of my work- she’s one of the few things and people I miss from high school. It’s been almost TWO years since then. DAMN. Where’d the time go? I still feel like a senior.

Happy April First, April Fool’s, and Poisson d’Avril
